Have you wondered about creating a conversation starter at a corporate event? Miss Witt was recently given the honour of being asked to design two special chocolates on behalf of Which? Insurance Brand of the Year 2022, NFU Mutual for their corporate dinner at The New Forest Show in Hampshire this year. The dinner was attended by 210 people and local dignitaries including, Lord and Lady Montagu, The New Forest Show Committee and local sponsors like Scott Bailey Solicitors.
The brief was to celebrate ‘Land to Plate’ and with cacao being only grown near the equator, Miss Witt decided to use dark chocolate for her first truffle, Heritage cacao grown, harvested and produced by Cardenas Chocolate on ancestral land in the Andean mountains. The second Chocolate was produced with local produce from the New Forest, a white chocolate Strawberry truffle, the strawberries were grown by local food producer, New Forest Fruits, and made into the most amazing jam by World Jam Champion, Jennifer Williams of Naked Jam. Kerry’s kitchen is next to Jennifers so any additional food miles were definitely kept to the minimum.
The taste feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with lots of wonderful remarks about the lovely big chunks of New Forest Fruit strawberries in the white chocolate truffles!
